Reginald Keith Guillory was born on December 3, 1970. His educational foundation was laid in the North Forest Independence School District as attended Shadydale Elementary School, Northwood Middle School and became a proud graduate of Forest Brook High School on June 1, 1989. With a mind to excel, Reginald became a member of the Forest Brook "Jaguar" Marching Band and Stage Band, and was also a "Young Men For Christ Movement under the direction of the late Reverend W. O'Neal. At the age of five, Reginald began his journey of Christian servitude. He was baptized and became a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor, Reverend Doyal McCraw. Exercising his articulation in the arts, Reginald transitioned from the realm of typical adolescent and ascended to the position of "Willing Worker." He served as a member of the Junior Usher Board, You Adult Choir, Church Drama Department, Vacation Bible School Participant, Young Deacon Trainee and a Saxophonist in "The Sounds of Mount Pleasant." He remained a very active, jovial, inspiring, sincere, faithful and committed member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church until a fatal automobile accident on Sunday, August 6, 1989 removed this promising ye humble servant from the walks of life. In lieu of flowers, friends and well-wishers made financial contributions in his honor. The result of the: monetary gifts led to the creation of the REGINALD KEITH GUILLORY SCHOLARSHIP FUND on Apr 1994 (under the authorization of the late pastor, Reverent Acy Doyal McCraw). The Reginald Keith G Scholarship, Inc. offers profound leadership and committed service to higher learning and continuing education. The Reginald Keith Guillory Scholarship was incorporated on February 23, 2006 to a 501( c) Exempt Organization. This sacred yet bittersweet foundation is based upon the hard work and Christian love exhibited by a creative and inspirational gentleman who has set the bar high for youth who demonstrate a willingnes work toward Academic Achievement.
